Looking for an effortless way to boost productivity? Microsoft’s Edge browser has a new feature that’s set to transform the way you draft text. Introducing ‘Draft with Copilot’ – an AI-driven tool designed to make writing quicker and easier for you and your team.
When using Edge, if you find yourself facing a blank text box, such as in an email or comment field, simply right-click to access the ‘Draft with Copilot’ option.
Selecting this will open a new window where you can input the subject or topic of your text. Click ‘Generate,’ and Copilot will swiftly create content based on your input. Within moments, you’ll have a draft ready for review.
You can then customize the text to fit your desired tone and length. Whether you need it to be more formal or casual, or to vary in length, adjusting is a breeze.
Time is precious, and ‘Draft with Copilot’ helps you save it. It streamlines the process of drafting emails or social media posts, allowing your team to focus on other important tasks. Plus, Copilot ensures your text is grammatically accurate and well-organized, which is especially valuable if you’re writing in a non-native language.
Currently, this feature is available only in US English, but Microsoft is expanding its capabilities to include additional languages.
One thing to keep in mind: AI-generated text can sometimes come across as generic. It’s a good idea to review and add personal touches or specific details to enhance engagement with your audience.
At present, ‘Draft with Copilot’ is part of the Edge Canary preview build, meaning it’s still in development. Microsoft is progressively integrating Copilot into more Windows applications, signaling a future rich with AI-assisted tools designed to simplify our digital interactions.
