Windows 11 version 24H2 has introduced a frustrating glitch in File Explorer that’s leaving many users scratching their heads. File Explorer, the go-to tool for navigating files and folders, is experiencing an issue with the “See more” menu.

What’s Happening?

The “See more” menu, identified by the three-dot icon, typically appears just below your cursor, offering quick options like “Select All” or “View Properties.” However, this recent bug causes the menu to fly to the top of the screen – and sometimes vanish entirely. If you’re in full-screen mode, critical menu options might not even be visible.

The Workaround

Fortunately, there’s an easy fix for now:

  1. Switch File Explorer to windowed mode instead of full-screen.
  2. Click the square icon in the top-right corner of the window (next to the “X” for closing).
  3. Resize the window as needed to access the misbehaving menu options.

This solution ensures the menu stays within view, even while the glitch persists.

Good News: A Fix Is Coming

Microsoft is aware of the issue and is actively working on a permanent resolution. Updates addressing this bug should be rolled out soon.

Why It Matters

Even small glitches can disrupt productivity, especially when your team relies on File Explorer daily.
