Still using Windows 10 because it “works fine”?
With Extended Security Updates (ESU), it may still feel safe. Your PC runs normally and still gets security updates.
But this is only temporary.
Windows 10 reached the end of standard support in October 2025. ESU is just a short extension, and it ends in October 2026.
After that, there will be no more security updates, leaving systems exposed to risk.
Why people delay upgrading
Many devices are still on Windows 10 because it is familiar and still functional. ESU also makes it feel like there is no urgency.
But this delays the real decision, not removes it.
Why it matters
After ESU ends, Windows 10 will no longer be protected. This can create:
Security risks
Compliance issues
Insurance and business concerns
Plan ahead
Some PCs can upgrade to Windows 11; others may need replacement. Leaving it too late often leads to rushed decisions and higher costs.
Planning early keeps things simple and controlled.
ESU is not a long-term solution. It only buys time. Now is the right time to plan your move to Windows 11 before support fully ends.
